GORB just works!
From your phone book to a meetup — minus the anxiety.
Building on the wish, GORB.World leverages the latent social tool most of us already have — our Phone Book!
Instead of meeting strangers, the people you’d typically like to meet are already on your phone book.
A few real situations shaped how GORB was created:
- We’re less anxious reaching out to people we already know.
- You don’t want to engage with strangers the way you do on random dating or activity apps — for safety, or any other reason.
- There’s a crush you’re a little uncomfortable asking out — what if they’re not into you at all?
- You want to catch a specific play, and you want company, but you don’t know who else would be interested. You might try your group of friends once or twice. Not often.
- There’s a conference you’d love to attend with your mentor or a colleague. You don’t know if they’d be interested too.
- You have some free time, and you don’t know who else is free to hang out. You might ask… or, quite often, you might not.
- You don’t want to be spammed by strangers reaching out, the way it happens on most dating and social networks.
GORB is built for all of that. Here’s how you go about it:
- Identify your people from your phone book into GO lists.
- Invite only your favorites (GO-list contacts) to an activity or event. Anonymously.
- None of your invitees know it was you who sent the invite.
- Your invitees also need to have you on their GO lists — if they like you enough, they will.
- You can invite many, but meet one. That outing, date, or game is set with one of your favorites. So it just works.
- The first invitee to accept triggers the match, and the mutual reveal: you to them, them to you. Nobody else knows. Other invitee responses are ignored.

This way you can invite as many people as you want, minus the anxiety. And you go out with people who actually want to go out with you.
And of course: no spam. Ever.
GORB just works!
